Editorial standards

Market Intel exists to help buyers make sound decisions about enterprise network hardware. That only works if what we publish is accurate, clearly sourced, and honest about what is fact, what is a manufacturer claim, and what is our own analysis.

Sourcing and verification

Specifications, lifecycle dates and product claims are drawn from primary, manufacturer-published sources — data sheets, official documentation and end-of-life notices. Every article lists those sources with a link and the date we last verified them. We do not invent specifications, dates, prices or quotes.

Facts, announcements, observations and analysis

• Verified facts come from primary sources and are cited.
• Manufacturer announcements — for example, an end-of-sale date — are attributed to the manufacturer.
• Sekatron observations describe our own first-party testing, refurbishment and market experience, and are labeled as such.
• Editorial analysis is our interpretation and recommendation — clearly the publication's view, not a manufacturer statement.

Authorship and review

Buyer guidance is published under the byline "Adam," an advisory persona representing Sekatron's buyer-guidance voice rather than a named individual reporter. Articles are reviewed by the Sekatron Market Intel Editorial Desk before publication.

Imagery

Many article images are conceptual editorial illustrations, labeled accordingly. They represent the subject of an article; they are not evidence of a specific unit's authenticity or condition, and should not be read as literal photographs of a genuine product unless stated.

Manufacturer versus reseller

Manufacturer lifecycle and support dates belong to the manufacturer and can change; we point to the official notice. A Sekatron warranty is a separate, reseller commitment. We do not describe our testing as manufacturer certification, and we do not claim manufacturer affiliation or endorsement. Cisco, Meraki, Juniper, HPE Aruba and other names are trademarks of their respective owners.

Corrections and updates

When we revise an article for new information, we note it as an update. When we correct a factual error, we mark it as a correction. If you believe something is inaccurate, please tell us.

Independence

Sekatron sells hardware, but editorial coverage is not dictated by what is in stock. Where an article references inventory or availability, that commercial context is disclosed.
